Apple Mail to Evernote Export 3 (v3.01)

I’ve updated the script slightly to add back in support for notifications (although only for macOS notifications) and to clean up the CSS in the header template. See the original post.

When I was a kid my dad used to subscribe to Compute! magazine, which published programs each month that could be entered by hand into your computer. I spent many hours typing in both Basic programs as well as hex-coded machine language (agh! the nightmares). One of my favorite games growing up, The Hermit, was published in the November 1987 issue. I spent many long hours hand entering the code, debugging my typos, and then exploring the caves below Bakersfield California.

The first research paper I ever wrote (on ozone depletion and global warming) was written using SpeedScript on an Apple ][+ which couldn’t display lowercase text on the screen. I learned a lot about programming 8-bit computers from these experiences and eventually published my own shareware software program for the Apple II.

This AppleScript project has been a good way to both indulge my creativity, wax a bit nostalgic, as well as distract myself from the stresses related to the Stay Home, Stay Safe order in Washington. Hopefully someone finds it useful. Let me know in the comments below.
